Imbued with imagined histories and voices, ordinary objects project narratives onto the world and ourselves. The artworks in this narrative explore how meaning is accumulated through use and intervention. As metaphors for fragility, mortality and mobility, , the works prompt questions on how the material world both embodies and constructs knowledge, identity and relationships. The ambiguities of history, memory and self emerge as each viewer responds with multiple readings, shaped by their encounters with the works. This open-ended interpretative act underscores how all understanding is relational and informed by personal experience, and how our interaction with the observable world involves a translation of forms into concepts that are constantly re-transmitted and re-interpreted. Here, subjectivity agency figures strongly, and the works in this thematic seek participation to produce meaning and invite contemplation of life, both lived and imagined.
